Brett Bringardner
Advisor

Brett is a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in new business development. He successful built and exited a custom store fixture business and built and exited from Talon Microelectronics, an e-waste recycler and reseller. Brett also served as an entrepreneur in residence at the Columbus, OH based OnVentures and later founded LibriLoop, a closed loop recycler that takes books and recycles them into reusable paper products for libraries and school systems.

Dennis Garlington
Advisor

Dennis brings his wealth of experience in opportunity analysis, capital and financial modeling, and performing due diligence on management, lenders, and investors for corporations and new ventures with revenues under $200M. Dennis also volunteers his time with the OSU Business Plan Competition as a mentor and judge and also a mentor for the Scioto Ridge Job Networking Group.

Paul Proffitt
Chair

Founded SunDown RunDown in March of 2013. Also runs the Central Ohio Chapter. Background in Higher Ed, Data Analysis, Business Development and Digital Marketing. Proffitt has worked on a number of startups and was involved with two, now defunct, incubators in the late 1990s in Central Ohio. Proffitt volunteers for the OSU Business Plan Competition as a judge and mentor.

Linda Hale
Akron Chapter

Linda Hale is actively involved in Akron’s Start-Up Community through her work with ICORPS, the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium and Entrepreneur Immersion Week. She is a graduate student at Georgetown University; focusing on urban renewal and real estate development. Prior to returning to school, Linda owned and operated ES Graphics; providing web development and consulting services to local real estate, manufacturing and hospitality companies.  Linda is currently a Microbusiness Specialist at the Main Branch of the Akron Public Library

PAUL HUGENBERG III
Youngstown Chapter

Founded the Youngstown chapter in 2017 after participating in a Mansfield pitch event and later in Columbus. Those pitches led to a first round investment from Angel investors for his company InfoGPS. Paul believes in SunDown’s mission and wants to bring it to other entrepreneurs in his area of Ohio.

Bob Cohen
Mansfield & Canton Chapters

Founded the Mansfield chapter in 2013 after seeing the concept replicated in Akron and checking out a Central Ohio event in New Albany. Bob is the CEO of BrainTree and brings years of experience in business development and securing capital for startups.  Bob took over running the Canton chapter in Q4 of 2015
